Golden giving fuels ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Ignited
During their 50-year reunion, the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Class of 1973 presented combined gifts of more than $6 million to ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Ignited: Boldly Shaping Tomorrow. The Golden Mustangs reunion was co-chaired by ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Trustee Tucker S. Bridwell ’73, ’74; James L. Deem ’73, ’77 and Katharine Wilson Deem ’73; Stephen D. Sims ’73 and Susie Frey Woodall ’73.
Over 150 members of the Class of 1973 donated to ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ during the 2022–2023 fiscal year. Throughout the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Ignited campaign, more than 300 alumni from the Class of 1973 have committed over $30.5 million to ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ.
“Our class cares deeply about ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ and has been committed to donating our time, talents and treasure in so many ways,” said Bridwell. “Whether it’s serving on ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ boards and committees or cheering on the Mustang athletics teams, we are proud of our connection to the Hilltop. That also shows up in our giving.”
ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ is incredibly grateful to the alumni and donors who empower Mustangs by investing in the future of the University. We proudly celebrated the Golden Mustangs during May’s Commencement Weekend at an event in the Meadows School of the Arts’ Gene and Jerry Jones Grand Atrium.
